Journalism, psychology, counseling. Which pretty much sums up everything I ever wanted to be after I got past the I-want-to-be-a-teacher-and-a-doctor-and-a-singer-and-a-this-a-that stage and reality hit me in the face.
Reality meaning I probably wouldn’t enjoy sewing someone up against the clock as much as freelancing around the world writing about anything from some obscure tribe’s culture to big expensive holiday resorts to windsurfing in Hawaii’s open waters. You can tell when I say Reality this time that Reality isn’t being very cooperative at all.
All I have to say is, Journalism and Psychology had just better like me. Because I will charge into it (like Ling says; shamelessly) and demand a place there.
The coolest thing about dream jobs is that the requirements have always always been ingrained in us all along and we just don’t realise it. It suits your personality, interests, and the only obstacle is whether or not society will clear the path for us.
