The past few days saw me sharing a bed with assorted bugs, touching worms, having an egg cracked over my shoulders (and not my head, thankfully. yay uli!), playing captain’s ball with peeled oranges, eggs, bananas, tomatoes (avoid avoid!), apple-bobbing, dunking my face in corn starch, running half-cocked in the sun, building sand forts, barbequeing maggi mee, having my entire luggage smell of raw eggs, and screaming and running from scarily gigantic evil cockroaches and beetles (but they’re colourful).

And the people were all just amazing.

I loved it.

Dropped by Kusu Island on the way back from St John’s today. The water in both islands is beautiful. You wouldn’t believe you’re still in Singapore.

While waiting for the boat, we saw this angry jerk of a man who had issues. He made his little campers drop twenty and run all the way to the life-guard post (the little red roof) from where the picture was taken. Then when we cheered them on he screamed at us instead, so we took to cheering him even more, and continued to cheer and wave all the way until the boat was out of sight. Way to discourage us huh.

One camper in particular looked so miserable, and he snuck us tiny tiny little waves and looks from the boat windows when they departed (“save me, saaaave meeeee from this hitler perrrrson!!”).

So poorthing.

More to come.
